An Ecomancer is a magic user intimately connected to the Earth and its spirits. Sometimes this connection has a cultural or religious component, but just as often it is wholly personal - Ecomancers come from all places, cultures, and walks of life. Through their magic they communicate and call upon the powers of the elements and of nature itself. They are capable of summoning various elemental spirits to aid them in many different ways, from warning of upcoming danger to fighting alongside them in battle.

Ecomancers can also use nature as a weapon, ensnaring enemies in ropelike vines or causing the ground to quake and open up under their feet. The more nature surrounds them, the stronger an Ecomancer is and the more power they have access to. Because of this, many Ecomancers are responsible for maintaining the few nature reserves that dot the city landscapes, their own oases away from the concrete and neon.
